Skuld Copenhagen celebrates 100 years
Skuld started as a Scandinavian P&I Club in 1897. In 1918, Skuld set up its first local Copenhagen office in Amaliegade, which at the time was close to the offices of many Danish steamship owners. In addition to Danish members, the office serviced Skuld members from Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
Over the years, Skuld Copenhagen has taken part in Skuld's unique development from a traditional Scandinavian P&I Club to a leading worldwide diversified marine insurer. Many changes have been made to meet new challenges in shipping as well as the evolving needs of our members.
100 years down the road, Skuld Copenhagen is still the only International Group (IG) P&I club with local presence in Denmark. In addition to P&I, we offer H&M and a full range of other marine insurance covers to the shipping and offshore industry in Denmark and beyond. Our office is a dedicated team of 25 people located in Hellerup, the present shipping hub of Denmark, by the sea just North of Copenhagen city centre. We believe in being close to our members, offering our local service while at the same time supporting our members globally through Skuld's worldwide network of offices, correspondents and surveyors.
Skuld Copenhagen is ambitious and ready to provide the service and competence which our members can rely on also for our next century.
The future has just started
