Skuld School Hamburg 21-22 May 2025
This year's Skuld School will be jointly hosted by our Copenhagen and Hamburg offices. The course targets members' and clients' junior staff or others in shipping who need to know the basics of P&I insurance. Recently hired Skuld employees are also invited to participate in Skuld School during their first year of employment.

Skuld School for seafarers Manila November 2025
Skuld is committed to contributing to a safer future for seafarers and a more informed maritime industry. In November 2024, we held the second Skuld School for Seafarers in Manila in cooperation with NTC. We believe in empowering seafarers with knowledge about marine insurance so they can navigate safely at sea.

Geir Jørgensen
Senior Vice President, Global Head of Loss Prevention
Geir joined Skuld in 2018 as the Global Head of the Loss Prevention Department. He holds a BSc in mechanical engineering and has 9 years of seagoing experience in the seismic industry. His shore career began with consultancy work involving safety management and planned maintenance systems for the maritime industry. Later, he joined Höegh Autoliners, where he held various positions from 2007 to 2018, including roles as DPA, CSO, Head of HSSEQ, and Head of Crewing and Training. Geir has also served as a Director on the Board for Crewing Companies in both the Philippines and China.

Email dick.camoying@skuld.comDick is a Technical Manager and a part of Skuld’s Technical Management Team based in Oslo. He has a master’s degree in Ship Management (MSM) from John B. Lacson Foundation – Maritime University. Dick joined Skuld in the beginning of 2019, after a career at sea as Chief Engineer. He spent almost 18 years onboard Höegh Autoliners PCTC vessels from Engine Cadet up to Chief Engineer, followed by two years as a Technical Superintendent in Höegh Technical Management. His key competence is RORO cargoes, bunker handling, hull and machinery, damage and repair assessment, class rules, planned maintenance and ship management.

The story behind Skuld School
Skuld School has been a recognised and well-established Skuld event for over 25 years and more than 2,500 industry newcomers have participated learning about Skuld, our culture and how we work along with the basics of marine insurance.
Traditionally hosted in Oslo, Skuld School has also been arranged in other Skuld locations like Hong Kong and Singapore and has been carried out digitally. Future Skuld Schools will be physical events where people come together, network and share the learning experience together.
Certificate of attendance
The certificate of attendance is awarded following completion of the course. The course covers the fundamentals of marine insurance and an introduction to Skuld's organisation, offering a good working knowledge of the subject. The presentations are in good hands with Skuld's own experienced staff members.
