A floating wind turbine or a floating renewable resources would need to be protected against any marine risk and their risk of third party liabilities which would not necessarily be picked up under a property policy. When constructing a windfarm, most projects would need a Construction All Risk insurance (CAR) which would respond to property damage during the construction of the windfarm. Skuld provides capacity as a follower in this market and brings our unique marine experience into this property market.

Once the offshore windfarm has been constructed it is common to take out an Operational All Risk insurance (OAR) which will respond to property damage. The location of the particular fixed offshore farms are close to shore and often in areas where there is dense marine traffic which increases the risk for damage to the property of these farms.
